    Semester : Semester I 2010/2011

    Synopsis :

Introduction, principles of well testing, conventional and modern well test interpretation methods, effect of reservoir boundaries, reservoir aspects, well aspects, fluid aspects, interferences and pulse test, well test design.

    Course Outcomes :

At the end of this course it is expected that student will be able to:

    1. Explain the basic types of well tests
    2. Explain basic principles of well tests
    3. Interpret tests using conventional, types curves and derivative methods
    4. Use computer based well test analysis software
    5. Set actual test objectives and design a test
