    Synopsis :

    This course is more elaborate than the introductory subject as taught in Building Services 1 (SBA 0512) which deals with services for domestic scale buildings. Building Services 2 emphasises on building services for bigger and taller buildings The subject matters include water supply, mechanical ventilation, air conditioning systems, fire fighting systems, security systems, rubbish disposal systems, sewerage systems and mechanical transport systems (lifts and escalators). These technical aspects should be related to the design subjects where appropriate.

    Learning Outcomes :
    1. Demonstrate relevant knowledge in building services for bigger and taller building .
    2. Apply relevant technology in relation to buildings services for bigger and taller building
    3. Solve design problems and issues appropriately in relation to buildings services for bigger and taller building
    4. Work independently on research projects, group research projects, site visits, case studies, seminar and assignments.
